Selection and Recognition

The EKU Social Work Awards Committee consists of previous award winners. All completed nominations received by the deadline will be reviewed by the EKU Social Work Awards Committee. In selecting each award winner, weight is placed on the extent to which the nominee demonstrates having met the award criteria. Self-nominations are accepted. Here are some ways the Department of Social Work recognizes award winners:

1. Information about the winner is placed in the EKU Department of Social Work newsletter.

2. Information about the winner is placed on the EKU Department of Social Work web page. 

3. Press releases may be sent to area media.

4. The winner is recognized in EKU Social Work Day promotional materials. 

5. The winner is recognized at EKU Social Work Day in the form of a verbal announcement made during the event.

6. The winner is presented an award at EKU Social Work Day.
