SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY
Jackie Blanchard Stephens Endowed Memorial Scholarship (DUE Oct. 15 for Fall; March 15 for Spring)
♦To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student in good academic standing (at least 2.5);
- demonstrate good character, a commitment to service to others and promise of high academic achievement;
- demonstrate financial need;
- have earned a minimum of 30 semester hours at time of application with a declared Social Work major.
R. Powell Award Fund (DUE Oct. 15 for Fall; March 15 for Spring)
♦To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be accepted to the EKU Social Work Program in good academic standing with a cumulative EKU GPA of 2.5 or better;
- demonstrate ethical conduct, commitment to service to others and promise of high academic achievement;
- demonstrate financial need; and
- be enrolled in SWK 490 during the academic year when the scholarship is awarded.
Sue Friedman Professional Development Award
♦To be considered for this award, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- be enrolled in the MSW or BSW program with at least nine credit hours and have an overall GPA of 2.5.
- the award must be used to help defray expenses incurred by the student during attendance at an approved professional social work meeting.
